CMH Services strives to provide excellent service to all of our customers – sometimes this means going further to educate our customers’ key decision makers about our superior products. Last month, Roy Binkley of CMH Services co-hosted a Parts Comparison Showcase with the help from Crown’s Mike Newell. It was a great way to reach out and directly interact with our customers while educating them on the vast differences in quality between OEM and third party “look-alike” forklift parts. “The parts comparison box is a great conversation starter,” Binkley stated, “It’s surprising how quickly our customers see a difference, it’s like a light bulb goes off and they start asking tons of questions.” The main benefit of the parts comparison box is the ability to hold and inspect each part, customers can see the differences in weight, materials, and craftsmanship. Afterwards, they can start making decisions that save them time and money.
The hands on showcase does more than educate, it gives Crown and Crown dealers the ability to hear about the pain points of their customers. It’s often hard within the fast paced material handling industry to get proper and meaningful face time with every customer – your representatives do the best they can but there is something different about getting your customers into a new environment and engaging them directly. These events serve as customer appreciation and awareness seminars, having face time with your customers can equip you with the proper information to know what problems customers may have before they become emergencies.
